Went up to this pottery shopt today..Was beyond disappointed!!!! Very Very over priced and not a very good selection! The only plus for the day was that I got to share the ride with two wonderful ladies..also they no longer give the 20% discount only 10%. Not one of the three of us bought anything. I say save your time and money and just go on to Poland.

I know this comment was left in 2011 but as I haven’t visited this page for a long time, I feel it necessary to reply in our defense so that people can see our point of view too.

I am really sorry if customers were disappointed, that is not our aim. We aim to please and give our customers an enjoyable experience here at the Pottery Barn.

What people need to remember is that firstly, we are in Europe, not America where everything is done on a much larger scale, so yes, we are a small business which means a smaller selection.

Secondly, customers visiting that particular day may have come at a time when we were between deliveries and were therefore low in stock on certain lines. We don’t just retail, we wholesale too so sometimes stock comes and goes very quickly.

Thirdly, it might be that whoever was serving had forgotten/didn’t know about the discount or it had been discontinued which is our right to do as we are running a business and not doing this for fun. The economic crisis has not helped either.

Fourthly, if customers want to go to Poland, it is their right to, however, they need to take into consideration that they have to pay for fuel which is expensive, even if it is subsidised by the American military. They also have to pay for a hotel to stay overnight. Yes, the prices are cheaper, but not by a lot. Why? Because we represent the company Manufaktura here in Germany and were asked to open the pottery barn by and for them and were given good conditions.

We always give 10% discount to ALL our customers because we do not have the work of packing, travelling and unpacking our stock at a show and we want to give something back to our customers as we want them to keep coming back and to recommend us.

If a group of people come we will put on snacks and drinks too when possible. We have books and drawing paper and crayons for the children. We do our best to be good to our customers so that they leave feeling satisfied knowing they will be back.

We reserve the right to make offers to our customers and withdraw them when we feel it is appropriate.

Our latest offer as of today the 27th of March 2013 is this:

If 4 people come together and buy, they will receive a discount of 20% – this is until further notice. Please ask if this or any other offers apply when at the till.

      We take VAT forms.

Thank you and see you soon!

      Your Polish Pottery Team
