Time to Train! Kennedy March, Sittard

Here’s the challenge: Walk 50 miles in 20 hours.
Why? To prove JFK wrong, initially. And now, because it might just be fun. :)

“The Sittard Kennedy March came into existence in 1963 when the American president John F.Kennedy spoke the words “I think most American people are so weak, they can’t even walk fifty miles within 20 hours”. At many places people tried to prove that these words didn’t apply to them. In Sittard, four highschool students started the first Kennedy March. It developed into a tradition. In 2007 the number of participants was 3326.”

This year it will be held on 11 April 2009. It begins and ends in Sittard.
