Simla Indian Restaurant – Sittard

I haven’t had Indian food since London and I’d love to find something a little closer. Having said that, I am really pinging now for some nan and good tandoori… would love to have a little place just down the road. This place looks good… anyone know how the food is? Try it and pass along a review…

Simla was simply awful. But we went to India in April, so maybe that colored it. My wife was afraid of what I was going to say to the waiter when he brought us our check and asked us how it was. The only think I could think of was “How long have you been away from India?”

I have been to the Simla in Sittard many times and enjoy it alot, if you want spicy have the Madras or ask them to make any curry hotter, choice is yours.
The Restaurant in Maastricht not good and overpriced, went once will not be back

there’s only one indian restaurant in Maastricht (the India house)and the kindest thing I can say is that it is extemely average.

If you are used to an English Curry this will be a disappointment as it is catered to the Dutch who do not like spicy foods. Saying that, if you really have a creaving for indian food then I have heard from several BRITS from JFC Brunssum that there are some good indian restaurants in Maastricht. I however go back every several months to England and get my fix that way.

I’m not an Indian food expert, but I went there with several friends. We all had something different and everything was great. Loved it! A little smoky, but no more than any other place.
