Corfu, Greece

Review:

“We went to the island of Corfu in October and stayed at a resort called Messonghi Beach Resort. It was right on the beach and had 3 pools. The setting was spectacular. The island is called the green pearl of the Ionian Sea.It is called that because it is always green.Across the bay you could see Albania and the mainland of Greece. The mountainous back drop made for a beautiful sunset.

We really had a lot of fun. There was a kids club where the kids could go twice a day if they wanted to. They painted, did clay, made crafts, played games etc…It was open a couple hours in the morning and a couple hours in the afternoon. You didn’t have to sign up ahead of time…. Just drop in.And there were always three or four attendants in the club. There was a playground and an arcade for the kids.Every night dinner, there was a kids disco which my kids loved.Every evening there was some kind of show… cabaret, dancing, etc. My kids liked the entertainment as well.

The drinks were very reasonably priced and the dinners (including our half-board pension) were delicious. They were served buffet style and there was always a good variety. The only thing that wasn’t great was breakfast. It was mostly breads with some cereals and yogurt. The milk was warm and just not to my liking, but everything else was super. We walked into the town a few times and everyone was very friendly. There are lots of shops and places to buy snacks, water floats, sun screen, film, coke, etc…Just about anything you would need. The people were friendly and the scenery was amazing. We really enjoyed the trip.

This trip was booked through ThomasCook travel agency. There is a website you can check http://www.thomascook.nl/ or look for it in the Centrum of Brunssum.”
